Topographica: Who we are
Yogan’s drone journey began at the UCLA Design Media Arts Department, where he introduced and taught drone photography and photogrammetry in 2022. The second iteration of this class earned him the 2024 UCLA Unit-18 Professional Developement Award.
At UCLA, he also joined transdisciplinary teams, leveraging high-end drone platforms and data acquisition tools such as LiDAR, to conduct aerial surveys for grant-funded research projects.
For him, drones are an extension of landscape photography, an artform he’s been practicing and teaching professionnaly for more than 15 years.
